Setting off fairly early this morning Cath decided to do a couple of locks before her legs got too bad. Here she is slaving at Horton Lock
Horton also boasts a fine lock cottage.
At the next lock we met up with a well crewed hire boat and thought all our birthdays had arrived. It wasn't to be, as we only shared the next two locks because we caught up to a singleton and they carried on into the next lock to help him, he looked like he needed it.
We carried on alone, starting down Marsworth Flight. We've stopped between 45 and 46 where there is an ice cream shop.
Marsworth Reservoir is here, and I took a walk up its embankment for a look. It's a bit low at the moment, but I suppose we haven't had a lot of rain lately.
That should change tomorrow as the Met Office is promising all day rain around here. If they are telling the truth we will probably stay put for the day.
